Onboarding
Step 1: Business Info

Using everything you know about my business - including my personality, values, audience, and purpose - please answer the following questions fully and accurately. Please don’t make anything up. If you don’t have enough information to answer a question properly, ask me for clarification so I can complete it. The more detail, the better. 1. Products & Services What are my main products and/or services? Are there specific product types, collections, or bestsellers to feature? What benefits do these products/services provide to customers? What makes them different or better than alternatives? Do I offer any other products or services now, or plan to in future? 2. Positioning & Messaging How should these offerings be positioned in marketing? (e.g. story, craftsmanship, problem-solving, innovation) Are there any unique features, stories, or qualities to highlight? Should any specific themes be emphasised — such as sustainability, heritage, or accessibility? 3. Audience Who is my ideal customer (or customers)? Are there different audiences for different products or services? 4. Availability & Distribution Where can people buy my products/services? (e.g. online shop, physical store, events) Are there any restrictions or limits? (e.g. location, exclusivity, licensing) For physical products: what are the shipping and packaging details? For services: are they delivered in person or online? Are there any location or availability constraints? 5. Pricing & Promotions What’s the general price range for my products or services? Do I want pricing shown in my marketing, or only on request? Are there any current or planned promotions, bundles, offers, or seasonal campaigns? 6. Founder & Team Who founded the business — and should their story be included in marketing? Are there other team members to mention or feature? Are there any credentials, values, experiences or expertise to highlight? 7. Brand Values & Ethos What are my core values or mission as a business? Are there guiding principles, beliefs, or philosophies I want to communicate? What do I stand for — and what do I want customers to feel when they connect with my brand? 8. Marketing Preferences Are there types of posts or stories I don’t want to share? Are there traditions, themes, or recurring post ideas I want included? (e.g. “Meet the Maker,” customer stories, behind-the-scenes content) Are there causes, events or community aspects that matter to me? 9. Anything Else? Is there anything else I want customers to know? Are there future launches, updates, or events that should be factored into content planning?

Using everything you know about my business - including my personality, story, values, and visual preferences - please answer the following questions to help define my brand identity. Please don’t guess or invent anything. If you can’t answer something, ask me for clarification. Be as descriptive and specific as possible - these answers will shape how I present myself across all channels. 1. Business Overview & Name What is the name of my business? Is this the name I want to use everywhere (website, packaging, social media, etc.)? In one or two sentences, how would I describe the business to someone who’s never heard of it? 2. Narrative Point of View When I talk about the business, do I want to use “I”, “we”, my business name, or something else? (e.g. “I create…”, “We make…”, “[Brand Name] offers…”) 3. Brand Personality (Four Words) What four words best describe my brand’s personality? (e.g. warm, bold, cheeky, grounded) If these aren’t clear yet, should we brainstorm some? 4. Brand Purpose Why did I start this business? What deeper motivation, story, or personal journey led to it? 5. Unique Selling Proposition (USP) What makes my business different from others in the same field? How do I solve a problem or offer something uniquely valuable to my audience? 6. Tone of Voice How do I want to sound in written and spoken content? (e.g. formal, friendly, expert, conversational, playful) What emotional impression should my communication leave? 7. Colour Preferences Do I have colours I already use — or ones I’m drawn to for my brand? What do those colours represent to me emotionally or symbolically? 8. Photography & Visual Style Do I prefer images that are bright, moody, minimal, bold, etc.? Should my visuals feel polished, natural, candid, lifestyle-driven, or professional? 9. Tagline Do I already have a tagline? If not, would I like help crafting a short, memorable phrase that captures my brand’s essence? 10. Font Preferences (Optional) Are there any typography styles I love or dislike? Do I lean towards modern sans-serif, classic serif, handwritten fonts, or something else?

Using everything you know about my business - including my personality, values, audience, and purpose - please answer the following questions fully and accurately. Please don’t make anything up. If you don’t have enough information to answer a question properly, ask me for clarification so I can complete it. The more detail, the better. (You can repeat this section up to 4 times if you serve different types of customers—e.g. retail vs wholesale, men vs women, or distinct personality types. Just answer each set of questions again for each persona.) 1. Customer Type & Identity Who is this person? (Optional — e.g. slow-living, ambitious, pragmatic, etc.) 2. Demographics & Background What is their age or age range? Where do they live? (Urban/rural, city/town, specific region/country if relevant) What do they do for work or in life? Any notable lifestyle, family, or identity details? What else is part of their background that actually impacts why they’d buy from you? 3. Needs & Motivations Why does this customer need or want your product/service? What motivates them to seek this kind of solution? What’s the emotional “pull” — what are they really hoping to feel or resolve? 4. Pain Points & Challenges What struggles or frustrations does this customer face? How do these challenges impact their life or business? What would they say is “missing” or “hard” that you help solve? 5. How They Find the Business Where do they hang out online or in real life? How do they research or discover new products/services? (e.g. Instagram, Google, word-of-mouth, newsletters, events, etc.) Do they follow certain people, groups, hashtags, or attend specific events? 6. Buying Behaviours & Decision Process How does this customer like to buy? (e.g. impulse, research-heavy, gifting, etc.) What do they look for before making a purchase? (e.g. social proof, reviews, discounts, the story, sustainability, etc.) What might stop them from buying? (e.g. price, lack of trust, unclear values, slow shipping, etc.) Do they buy for themselves, as gifts, or both?
