Are we marketing, or are we messaging? And is there actually a difference, or are we all using different words for the same thing? This time, Simon and I got chatting about what we share on different social media platforms, why advertising to get your name out there is very different from advertising to get people to sign up, and whether we're always clear about what we're trying to achieve. I'm the marketing half of the partnership, Simon's the AI and technology half. We're both parents, both fairly opinionated and neither of us is particularly good at accepting something just because that's how it's always been done. We agree on lots of things. We disagree on quite a few too, which probably makes for a more interesting conversation. We're still working out this podcast business, but we're enjoying having the conversations. And if you've ever wondered whether everyone else is talking about the same thing you are, you might enjoy this one. We're Sophie and Simon, the people behind Inkie. The 1000 ND Project: Your Story Can Change Systems Only 15% of autistic people are employed - not because they can't work, but because systems aren't built for neurodivergent brains. We're collecting 1000 stories from neurodivergent people about where education, employment, or entrepreneurship went wrong - and what could have made it right. What makes this different? Most research excludes the people it's trying to help by using long written forms. We're using AI voice technology so you can speak your answers - making research actually accessible. How it works: Takes about 20 minutes Speak your answers (no writing required) You can skip questions or stop anytime Your data is protected by GDPR and never sold Responses are anonymised within 14-28 days Your story becomes part of research to change systems Who can participate: Anyone 18+ who is neurodivergent (self-identified or diagnosed) Start the study:
