Meet Sophie
Author of The ND Business and co-founder of Inkie
Sophie Boulderstone is the co-founder and CEO of Inkie, an AI marketing platform built to help small businesses show up online without losing themselves in the process.
She is also the author of The ND Business: Build a Business the Neurodivergent Way, a practical, honest book for people whose brains do not always fit standard business advice.

Sophie has spent more than 20 years working in PR, marketing, copywriting and small business support. She has helped hundreds of people explain what they do, find the words for their work and build businesses around something more honest than what they think they are supposed to be.
Her own route was not especially tidy. She left school without her qualifications past GCSEs, moved to France on her own at 16, travelled India solo at 18, ended up in Bollywood films, had the first of her four children at 20, opened her first business at 21, and first worked for a magazine at 23.
After years of learning by doing, getting things wrong, trying again and figuring out the bits of business nobody seemed to explain properly, Sophie built Inkie with her husband and co-founder, Simon. Inkie was created for the people who have ideas, experience and something useful to offer, but who get stuck trying to turn that into websites, social posts, blogs, newsletters, plans and all the other mildly ridiculous things modern business expects from one tired human with a laptop.

The ND Business
The ND Business: Build a Business the Neurodivergent Way is Sophie’s first book.

Written for neurodivergent founders, freelancers and self-employed people, it explores business building through the lens of how your brain actually works. It covers purpose, pricing, marketing, confidence, instinct, branding, AI, support, systems and the messy reality of trying to build something meaningful when traditional business advice was not written with you in mind.

It is practical, direct and written by someone who has made plenty of mistakes, worked with hundreds of small businesses and spent years translating complicated business advice into something people can actually use.

Why Sophie built Inkie
Sophie built Inkie because too many people are priced out of good marketing support, overwhelmed by jargon, or left feeling as if business is only for people who already know the rules.
Inkie helps small businesses create social posts, SEO blogs, newsletters, website copy and business-building foundations with AI support shaped around their voice, values and goals.
The point is not to make every business sound the same. The point is to take care of the repetitive, difficult and time-consuming bits so people have more space to do the work only they can do.
