Purpose
This Governance and Financial Policy explains how Inkie Ltd manages grants, investments, and project funding. It ensures that all activity is transparent, accountable, and aligned with our social mission — making marketing, creativity, and enterprise accessible to everyone.
Leadership and Responsibilities
Sophie Boulderstone – CEO & Founder
Leads company vision, partnerships, and brand development.
Simon Boulderstone – CTO & Co-Founder
Oversees all platform technology, data protection, and product innovation.
Alice Dewar-Mills – COO & Commercial Director
Responsible for financial management, compliance, and reporting.
All major financial decisions are agreed jointly by the CEO and COO and recorded within our accounting system.
Financial Oversight

All income and expenditure are recorded in Xero.

Separate tracking codes are used for grant funding, investment, and earned revenue.

The company’s external accountant reviews accounts annually and prepares statutory filings.

Grant or restricted funds are ring-fenced and used only for their agreed purpose.
Decision-Making

The COO may authorise day-to-day operational spending up to £500 within approved project budgets.

Any single expense above £500 requires joint written approval from the CEO and COO.

All financial activity is reported to the board quarterly.
Ethical Commitments
We operate with fairness, inclusion, and transparency at our core.

Fair pay and ethical procurement are non-negotiable.

Accessibility and neurodiversity considerations are built into every project.

A portion of profits will always support free or subsidised access for users on Universal Credit, single parents, and prison leavers.
Conflicts of Interest
Any potential conflict of interest is declared at director level and recorded in meeting minutes. Directors may not personally benefit from grant funding beyond agreed salaries or project fees.
Transparency and Reporting
An annual social-impact summary and financial overview are published on our website, detailing how funding has been used and what outcomes were achieved.
