Onboarding Videos

Every part of the Inkie platform has a corresponding onboarding video. Short, clear, narrated walkthroughs that show you exactly what to do and where to find it. Each video has captions and adjustable playback speed -- watch at normal speed, slow it down to catch every detail, or speed it up if you just need a quick reminder. Your learning style, your pace, your choice.

There's a particular kind of frustration that comes with starting a new tool. You know it's going to be useful. You've made the decision to give it a go. And then you hit the getting started process and it's a wall of text, a PDF manual, or a generic walkthrough that assumes you already know things you don't. For neurodivergent business owners especially -- and for anyone who learns better by watching than by reading -- that wall is often where the enthusiasm ends.

Inkie's onboarding videos exist because we tested our own platform with real neurodivergent business owners and listened to what they told us. The written instructions weren't accessible enough. People were getting stuck not because Inkie was complicated but because the way we were explaining it wasn't working for the way their brains worked. So we fixed it.

Every video also has captions -- so you can follow along without sound, read along while you watch, or use the captions as a quick reference if you want to remind yourself of a step without watching the whole video again.

Inkie was built from the beginning with neurodivergent business owners at the centre. InkieVoice, which lets you use the entire platform without typing or reading, was funded by Innovate UK specifically to address the gap in accessible marketing tools. The onboarding videos come from the same commitment. Accessibility isn't something we bolt on after the fact. It's something we discover through testing with real people and then build properly. The onboarding videos exist because real users told us something wasn't working and we took that seriously.

That approach doesn't just benefit neurodivergent users. Clear, well-paced video instructions with captions are easier for everyone. Not the one that makes you feel like you need a qualification before you can use the tool. That's what we were aiming for. And it came directly from listening to the people who use Inkie and taking what they said seriously.
