Voice-Led, Human-Supported: How Inkie Is Different
If you’ve ever felt left out by traditional business tools, cobbled together emails in a panic, or stared at a blank screen dreading another social post, you’re not alone. I built Inkie because I was there myself. I know first-hand how inaccessible, overwhelming, and impersonal most platforms can feel, especially if you’re neurodivergent, don’t have strong digital skills, or just don’t love writing. Inkie isn’t just another marketing tool. It’s something different, voice-led, chat-based, and, most importantly, human-supported. Here’s what that actually means for real founders like you (and me).
Why Accessibility Can’t Wait
Marketing tech is full of supposed solutions, but most are built by (and for) digital natives, people who read fast, write well, and have buckets of confidence. What about everyone else? Up to 40% of entrepreneurs are dyslexic. Many founders struggle with traditional literacy, or get anxious just looking at complex dashboards. That’s what inspired me to go all in on a platform that removes these barriers at every step.
Voice-Led Content Creation: Speak Your Truth (Literally)
Most platforms still expect you to type everything out, but that’s not everyone’s strong suit. With Inkie, you can use your voice instead. Whether you’re dictating a blog post on your phone while walking the dog, or capturing a quick thought before it slips away, you can talk instead of type. Your words are transcribed and polished into natural, engaging content, all while keeping your voice at the centre.
I grew up in a Steiner school and never did traditional exams. Neurodiversity is just normal for me, and I designed Inkie so anyone can work in their own way. I know how hard it is to get ideas out when you’re overthinking how to start. That’s why our voice-led tools feel more like having a chat than filling out a form.
Chat-Based Workflows: Guided, Never Overwhelming
Have you ever opened a business tool and immediately felt lost? Me too. Inkie is built to guide you, one small step at a time. Our AI chat asks you friendly, focused questions, never dumping you in the deep end. Can’t remember what makes your product special? Our prompts help you see it from a new angle. Don’t know what to say about an event? Our step-by-step approach gets you there, fast, without judgment.
This chat-based journey removes that "where do I even start?" anxiety. Many of our users say this is the first time marketing has actually felt do-able, and for some, even fun.
Human Support When You Need It
AI can do a lot, but it’s not a substitute for real, human understanding. That’s why support is always baked in. You can ask for a real person at any time, whether you’re stuck or just want a second set of eyes. Our platform makes it easy to book a chat, send a message, or join a live check-in. In my journey, I’ve learned that just knowing a supportive human is there, even behind the tech, can make all the difference.
Stories from Our Community
Jane, a first-time founder with mild dyslexia, told us she used to avoid marketing because it reminded her of struggling at school. She said, “I love being able to talk to Inkie like a voice note. It understands me, even when I lose my train of thought.” Ben, who runs a two-person bakery, says Inkie feels like a gentle nudge rather than a chore: "I answer one question at a time and before I know it, I’ve got a week of posts sorted."
These stories remind me why we built Inkie the way we did. Every step, every tool, and every feature is rooted in real lived experience, mine and our users. That keeps us honest and practical.
Building for the Future, With Your Help
Right now, we’re recruiting more diverse testers for our new features, thanks to funding from the Innovation UK grant and in partnership with Joyfully Different. Whether you’re neurodivergent, don’t consider yourself ‘techy’, or just wish business tools felt more human, we want to hear from you. Your feedback won’t just be read, it will directly shape how Inkie grows. If you want to help, you can apply to test the platform (find the link in our Instagram bio).
A Platform for the Real World
At Inkie, our mission is simple: marketing tools should work for everyone. Whether you think in words, pictures, or voice notes; whether you feel confident or need a bit of hand-holding, there’s a place for you here.
So, if you’ve ever given up on posting because the process felt impossible, or if you thought "I just wish someone would get it", you’re exactly who we built this for.
Want to shape the future of accessible business tools? Apply now to join our tester group, your voice, in form, next.
