Why We’re Partnering with Joyfully Different

If you’ve followed Inkie’s journey, you’ll know that our mission is to make business-building accessible, affordable, and genuinely supportive, especially for founders who often feel left out of the traditional business world. Today, I’m thrilled to share a new chapter: our partnership with Joyfully Different, a community and consultancy devoted to neurodivergent entrepreneurs and leaders. If you want the heart of our vision, it’s right here, putting lived experience and human-centred design front and centre, so more people can thrive on their own terms.

What is Joyfully Different, and why does it matter?

Joyfully Different (https://joyfullydifferent.co/about) is more than a consultancy; it’s a place where neurodivergent founders, leaders, creatives, and thinkers come together to find support, advice, and practical tools for business. Their mission? To create neuroinclusive and neuroaffirming business spaces where everyone, regardless of how their mind works, can feel valued, understood, and empowered.

For those who’ve been told they’re “too much,” “too quiet,” “too distracted,” or just “too different,” Joyfully Different is a breath of fresh air. The community is built by and for people who think differently, people just like me. I grew up neurodivergent myself. As a founder, I know firsthand that the real barriers aren’t about ability, but about being left out of systems that weren’t built with you in mind.

The Problem: Business Tools That Exclude

Here’s the truth: most marketing and business tools are made for people who love ticking boxes, writing lengthy plans, and ploughing through new systems without support. But what happens if that’s not how your brain works? If you need to brainstorm out loud, get stuck on written forms, or just want to do things your own way, the so-called “user-friendly” tools can leave you feeling isolated and overwhelmed.

It’s not just about preference, it’s about access. Far too often, talented, creative people find themselves excluded or discouraged, simply because they need a different kind of support. That’s especially true for neurodivergent founders, who might see things others miss, but bump up against tools that demand conformity over individuality.

Why Partnership Matters: Aligned Values, Complementary Strengths

This is exactly why Inkie exists, and why Joyfully Different is such a perfect partner. Where Joyfully Different brings deep expertise in neuroinclusion and a lived understanding of non-traditional business journeys, Inkie delivers affordable, voice-led, chat-based marketing tools that guide founders step by step. We’re both committed to breaking down barriers and building confidence for people who’ve too often been asked to fit the mould.

Our shared approach is simple: Put humans first, always. Design for real life, not an imaginary “ideal” user. Provide the kinds of support that help people with low literacy, low tech confidence, or “messy” minds to flourish, not just keep up.

What This Partnership Looks Like

Together, we’re working on the Innovation UK project: Making Business Accessible for All. We’re co-designing features with input from a diverse group of founders and leaders, including project testers who’ll have early access, a real say in how Inkie grows, and the chance to help shape the tools they’ll actually use. If you want to get involved as a tester and make your voice heard, you’ll find the application link in my Instagram bio.

This isn’t just about building something “for” neurodivergent founders, but building it “with” you, from the ground up. Inkie’s new platform features include voice-led interaction, flexible workflows, and optional human support, all shaped by the people who will use them most.

Why It Matters, And Why Now

As someone who’s navigated business as a creative outsider, I can promise you, this partnership is about more than box-ticking. It’s about ensuring that creative, “different” people aren’t just included, but celebrated. There’s power in diverse perspectives; there’s real magic when solutions are shaped by those who’ve walked the path themselves.

The world doesn’t need more cookie-cutter platforms. It needs tools that respect, reflect, and empower the full spectrum of entrepreneurial minds. That’s what we’re building, and we want you on the journey with us.

Ready to help us build a platform that really works for you? Apply to be a tester (link in Instagram bio) and let’s shape the future, together.
